Historic Madison Carriage Tours

Melissa has combined 40 years of experience riding and training horses with her love of history. North Georgia Tours and Camoore Farm Inc are proud to offer the ultimate tour experience in the beautiful historic district of Madison Georgia. Group tours are available most days by special arrangement, even if it is not on the calendar, so be sure to call or email to check for availability. I can often make same day reservations so don’t hesitate to call.
The Tour covers a large portion of the Historic District. Melissa shares the history of early Madison, its founding families and General Slocum’s march through town. As we travel through the home district we discuss the majestic homes and the families that built them and made the town so beautiful and historically significant. Narrated tours through the historic district last a half hour to an hour and a half. The hour tour is $25 per person and the hour and forty five minute tour cost is $35 per person. Forwarning the $35 tour can run as long as 2 hours so leave plenty of time for lots of great history! Catch me between tours for carriage rides for kid’s $10 per person.Call ahead for reservations so you don’t have to wait for the carriage.
Melissa does not answer the phone while on tour but will return your call as soon as she returns to the square. Check the calendar for scheduled tour days. Tours can be arranged on any day with 24 hours notice but don’t hesitate to call because you never know what I might do at the drop of a hat. Tours start at the Chamber of Commerce/ Welcome Center; however guests can can be picked up anywhere in the Historic District except Main Street, when prearranged.
